A Note From Our Founder

People always ask me,

Glenn, why did you want to start your own exterior remodeling company? There are hundreds of companies already around! Why start your own?

And this is what I say,

Because I was fed up with the so-called ‘industry standard.

My Industry Experience

You see, I worked for various residential home improvement companies for about 18 years (I started in 1998). For roughly 12 of those years, I worked for a prominent brand in the industry, which we’ll leave unnamed.

Why not mention their name?

Because by the time I left, I’d had enough.

I watched them go from a local family operation that CARED about people and products to selling out and losing everything that made their company special.

They went from a few convenient locations to over 50.

From the inside, I watched this transformation take shape.

Promises MUST Be Kept

All the promises I’d been giving people throughout my tenure there were no longer being honored. I knew this because, as a sales manager, I dealt with the calls from homeowners they left in the dark, uncared for, and unhappy.

Why haven’t I heard from anyone yet?

We reached out to you weeks ago about these problems. Why hasn’t your service team called?

No one’s taking care of us. What’s going on?

Overall, my time in the so-called trenches and what I saw and learned along the way prompted me to build a business of my own.

What else did I see these companies doing that I disagreed with?

• Pushing just ONE window or product on every customer.
• Charging highly inflated prices while giving people poor service.
• Focusing on making sales whether or not the products were well-suited.

Re-Shaping The Homeowner Experience!

After nearly two decades, I knew I had the knowledge and experience to do BETTER. So, I left where I was in Louisville, KY, and came back home to Evansville, IN. And alas, Window Shopping was born.

When I started Window Shopping, I vowed I’d do things differently. A LOT differently. The entire customer experience needed to be re-shaped. There was no way I was going to put MY customers through the things I’d witnessed over the years.
